The booklet entitled Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan - An Address Presented to The Rev. W. J. Richards, of Penywern Congregational Church, Dowlais, 4th April 1895, is available for all visitors to our site.
The booklet contains a transcription of the original, complete with dozens of names of individuals who donated to the "purse of gold" presented to Rev. Richards on his departure for America. The Penywern Temperance Society and Juvenile Rechabite Tent are mentioned.
